Showcasing Our Commitment to Agriculture
The Rycroft Ag Society Farm is 330 acres of donated farmland, cropped each year by wonderful volunteer members and businesses. The revenue generated by the farm’s crop helps fund our capital projects in the Ag Centre and Rodeo Grounds, building on the future of our Ag Society and benefitting our local community.
The Society would not be able to complete the annual crop without the commitment of local farmers, custom agricultural operators, and agri-businesses who donate land, time, equipment, and seed each year. Thank you for your continuous support of the Rycroft Ag Society!

Our Farm Sponsors
Our Farms Sponsors are the reason why the Society can continue the Farm operation. Manpower, supplies, and equipment are all volunteered and donated to ensure a smooth growing season, with everyone coming together for harvest, handling, and sales — all in one day!
As a sincere show of appreciation for our Sponsors’ donations and Volunteers’ commitment, Rycroft Ag Society provides Solution Services Race the 8 passes to key folks involved and hosts a volunteer thank-you supper at harvest.
The Rycroft Ag Rodeo grounds are one of the top setups in Northern Alberta and BC. Each year we put on our Bucking Horse Futurity with the Rycroft Ag. Society and the contractors can't believe what a great setup we have in the north. With the great grounds and sponsorship the futurity can draw some of the best stock and contractors in Western Canada. Hats off to Eric and the crew!

The Farm’s Humble Beginnings
The Rycroft Ag Society Farm is as old as the Society itself. Beginning in 1975, the farmland was donated to the Ag Society by G-3 Canada Ltd, Richardson Pioneer, CF Industries, and the MD #133 of Spirit River as a way for the Ag Society to further establish its roots in agriculture. At that time, one individual from the Society managed the various aspects of the farm to get it ready for harvest with the help of local businesses and volunteers.
Today, the Rycroft Ag Society has three dedicated members to coordinate the operations, with an ever-growing list of sponsors who donate the necessary supplies for each successful harvest.
