The Farm

The Rycroft Agricultural Society is fortunate to have a strong commitment from a number of local farmers, agricultural custom operators and agri-businesses that donate land, time, equipment and crop inputs to seed and harvest a crop each year.  In total 150 acres of farmland is donated and cropped each year.  Half of the land is donated for use by Richardson Pioneer located by the Richardson Pioneer elevators and crop input centre.  The remaining land is donated for use by Bremner Creek Farms and is located south-east of Brett Young Seeds.

The revenue generated from selling the crop is used to help fund capital projects to the Rycroft Ag Centre and Grounds which benefit our local community.  Community members and businesses play a big part in the financial success of our crop.  The Rycroft Ag Society sincerely appreciates all those who donate the land, fertilizer, chemical, seeding, harvesting, spraying and purchasing of grain.

A special thank you to the volunteers and donators in 2021 for growing and harvesting a barley crop that generated $53,000.
