Constructed for All Your Rodeo Needs
The Rycroft Ag Society Rodeo Grounds include newly constructed outdoor facilities for both arenas: the Gymkhana Arena and the Race the 8 Arena. With double the arena space, we offer rental usage to groups and individuals throughout the Peace Region for jackpots, rodeos, clinics, rough stock futurities, or general outdoor usage.
Though our arenas are outdoor, our grounds are equipped with water and power, complete with an announcer’s booth.
Rentals & Fees
We have used the outdoor arena for 2 Alberta High School Rodeos and it was absolutely AMAZING. From the arena caretaker to the president of the Ag society and everyone in between. Eric and Dean and their crews have done an absolute wonderful job with it all. The contestants and parents want to thank the Rycroft Ag Society for everything their do for us.
Rentals & Fees
Our Ag Society provides arena rentals for your stock events. Annual memberships for daily usage or drop-in passes are available for purchase. A rider pass form is required for daily/monthly usage.
All users must sign our liability waiver on an annual basis. Send the completed waiver and payment to admin@rycroftag.com .

Gymkhana Arena
The Gymkhana is the Rycroft Ag Society’s original arena, beginning in 1912 when we were still under the Spirit River Ag Society. The Gymkhana Arena sees a lot of day-use in the summer, with riders taking advantage of the open enclosures for Gymkhana Days.
Ghost River Riders
The Ghost River Riders is a seasonal Gymkhana Club, using the arena weekly for regular gymkhana events such as poles, barrels, and keyhole, along with other fun activities. The Ghost River Riders is a club for learning and growing, keeping a positive atmosphere for members and their horses to excel — no age limit or skill level is required to join!
The club also hosts different clinics, such as horsemanship from various clinicians and roping lessons. Each new season brings new clinics, such as saddle fitting and informational events for anyone who wants to learn!
Race the 8 Arena
The home to our annual Race the 8 Rodeo, this arena has been outfitted with safe and efficient rodeo infrastructure, making it the place to be for all things rodeo! This open arena is available for rodeo events, as well as for practicing rodeo styles, including:
- Team roping
- Chuckwagons racing
- Bull/ Bronc riding
- Barrel racing
