Supporting Our Youth
The Rycroft Ag Society is proud to provide two annual scholarships to local high school students in the MD #133 of Spirit River, Saddle Hills County, and Birch Hills County. While Rycroft itself does not have a high school, we know that the Ag Society is a home away from home for many youth in the G5 Area.
We are also happy that the scholarships are named after the Society’s two longest-standing members, Eric and Joy Astell, whose commitment to the community has made the society what it is today. Continuing their legacy in support of regional youth is a great honour.
How to Apply
To qualify for one of our two $1,500 scholarships, we are looking for students who are:
- Entering a field of study in Agriculture, Veterinary, Trades, or Business
- Have achieved a grade average of high enough
Applications are due annually. Scholarship application forms and a personal essay outlining a commitment to the community can be sent to admin@rycroftag.com.
